Location:

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid status of reporting to any Consumers Energy Service Center every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with home office flexibility on Wednesday and Friday.

We are looking for: Reporting & Analytics Manager

The Reporting & Analytics Manager will provide direction and guidance to contractors, vendors and other teams regarding the design, creation, maintenance, and analysis of reports, and processes which utilize multiple data sources. This role is responsible for the research and analysis of statistical summaries and reports that identify the organization's needs, provides input on dashboards and visual management reporting, and will be the subject matter expert on existing programs/applications/ processes currently in use. As the manager for this area, this role will identify needs for new programs, own vendor relationships and working with a team of contractors, successfully implement those systems. The Reporting & Analytics Manager will ensure all compliance and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely; in addition to being responsible for directing the Data team during Regulatory Compliance Audits.

The candidate for this role should possess knowledge, skills, and abilities in one or more of the following areas:

The Reporting & Analytics Manager will guide and influence other teams as the recognized SME regarding design - both visual and data - of reports, dashboards, and processes as well as developing and getting peer buy in on standards.

The Reporting & Analytics Manager will be responsible for identifying and capturing stakeholder - both Customer Operations and Customer Experience - needs and requirements and translating those needs into solution designs to either implement or oversee and advise others on the details of implementing the solutions. This will require being technically strong in PowerBI. Must also need to be familiar, or learn, the business areas and data in order to add value to the deliverables they provide.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, analytics, lean operations, or related field with four (4) or more years of applicable experience required

  • Professional experience executing work in two or more of the following areas of expertise: lean and business consulting, analytics and reporting, marketing or campaign operations, diagnostic reporting related to business, design of visual management or technical solution design.

In this role, you will:



  • Develop and implement goals, plans and objectives for the reporting and Analytics team. Including use of the business plan deployment, and the plays/tools of the lean operating system to establish the operating cadence, visual management, problem solving and choices around standard work for the department.
  • Work directly with professional consultants, vendors, and developers to provide guidance on process and priorities. Serve as Subject Matter Expert to stakeholders and contractors on best solution.
  • Define data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling and visualization. Examines and identifies data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making.
  • Responsible for performing general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets.
  • Responsible for being the resident expert on the analytics team. Identify and analyze business needs, ensuring work is prioritized and communicating results to business stakeholder.
  • Responsible for establishing performance targets, input to Requests For Proposals (RFPs), and reviewing contractor/vendor performance with regards to meeting deliverables and quality of deliverables and establishing success Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Responsible for identification of department resources needed for labor negotiations data teams and/or activated Incident Command Structure.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary.
