This is where you and your skills come in. We're currently looking for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to join our RingCentral's Finance Applications team. In this position, you will work with business partners, technology architects and system analysts to help implement the enterprise applications product roadmap. As an application engineer, you will apply your technical and functional knowledge to analyze system issues, perform bug triage, coordinate with multiple cross functional teams and find solutions. You will be responsible for documenting detailed processes, performing systems configuration, scripting, bug fixes, testing, implementation, continuous improvement and ongoing support. To ensure we provide optimal service, you will be skilled at business processes and methodologies along with a strong analytical and data modeling background.

To succeed in this role you must have experience in:

Business Requirements & Analysis:

  • Works closely with business partners, internal or external, to understand processes, gaps and goals.

  • Analyze existing and future state business processes, systems and flows of data.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to developing and modifying business processes and systems.

  • Partner with business, internal and external technology teams to define associated system requirements and solutions.

  • Participate in systems implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).

  • Be the techno-functional person who can provide technical solutions to business. problems related to Finance Enterprise applications

Business Solutions Design, Delivery & Support:

  • Work hands on to solving technical/systems issues by investigating system configurations, system integrations and API's.

  • Proactive and takes initiative to gather information, investigate gaps / issues, identifies potential solutions and presents to both Business and IT stakeholders.

  • Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, subject matter experts and end-user representatives.

  • Work with various teams to investigate Finance production support issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Optimize Finance systems and processes to scale with RingCentral's growth by identifying and implementing processes and managing daily issues, reporting, and month-end close that will improve the overall operation and efficiency of the Finance organization.

  • Work with cross functional teams to develop project milestones and timelines for development, UAT, production validation and go live.

  • Participate in scheduled system upgrades, including test plan development, testing, reviewing and evaluating new functionality.

  • Support delivery of reporting, dashboards and business intelligence capabilities through partnership with IT and Business.

  • Lead and perform data management and migration activities.

  • Ensure training and timely communications in accordance with project timelines.

  • Engage in other areas of Finance such as Security, Compliance (SOX), Reporting,

Production and participation in change management support to ensure projects are addressed from end to end and the needs, interests and success criteria of the business are met.

Desired Qualifications:

  • To comply with U.S. federal government security requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, and your employment will be conditioned upon obtaining the Public Trust Verification

  • 5+ years of experience implementing, configuring, customizing, developing and integrating one or more Enterprise applications or SaaS software (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Coupa, Concur et al)

  • Good functional and configuration level understanding of one or more areas including but not limited to ERP System Administration, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, Taxation, Customer Billing etc.

  • Experience in Javascript or any other programming language is a must.

  • Experience in NetSuite and Coupa development is preferred.

  • Experience with building web services integrations (REST/SOAP).

  • Proven ability to learn complex, distributed systems quickly and thoroughly.

  • Document complex systems, processes, events and architectures.

  • Understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a plus.

  • Operates with high integrity and transparency.

  • Must be customer centric and have the interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technology relationships.

  • Must be a self-starter, deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both technical and non-technical parties.

If you are hired in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, Rhode Island, the compensation range for this position is between $75,600 and $144,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
