Professional Services Accounting Consultant:

The Professional Services Accounting Consultant participates in consulting engagements and assumes responsibility for performing implementation tasks and producing quality deliverables. Assists aligned Project Manager with organizing and controlling tasks within the work plan. The incumbent will work with the client on an independent basis for short-term engagements with little supervision.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align ERP solutions with manufacturing and financial processes.
  • Coordinate all aspects of a project for a client
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of scheduled budget deliverables
  • Ensure seamless integration between finance modules and other ERP components, such as supply chain, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Implement and maintain financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Costing, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting.
  • Customize and configure ERP software to meet the unique financial and reporting needs of the manufacturing environment.
  • Determine direction, timelines, schedules, and activities for an area of the project
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate ERP with existing financial systems and third-party applications
  • Establish solid working relationships at the management level.
  • Possess accurate estimating skills for various project tasks
  • Ensure all deliverables in the area of responsibility are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Focus on managing complex programs and projects
  • Develop best practices and associated documentation
  • Available to speak at conferences or events

What you'll bring:

  • Meet utilization targets and complete project deliverables on time
  • Project management skills and a strong technical background are required
  • Ability to perform work plans, identify resource requirements, establish priorities for available resources, and monitor the performance of project tasks
  • Customer-centric, results-oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including virtual presentations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP software such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor
  • Breadth of knowledge across industry verticals
  • Ability to travel between 25% - 40%

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of ERP consulting experience
  • 5 years of experience implementing and customizing ERP systems, with a focus on finance modules, in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
