Responsibilities

HRI Hospital is seeking Part Time or Per Diem Switchboard Operators. We are looking for an individual who has availability during the evening, and weekends. There are hourly shift differentials for both evening and weekend shifts.

HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. We are part of the largest private mental health system in Massachusetts and can therefore provide competitive salaries, benefits, and opportunities for growth and development. As a Switchboard Operator, you will:

  • Operate the hospital switchboard in a professional, courteous, and effective manner
  • Respond to and activate hospital emergency codes and pages in a responsible and timely manner
  • Welcome visitors to the hospital in a warm, professional and helpful manner
  • Protect confidentiality of hospitalized patients
  • Facilitate internal hospital communications in a professional and efficient manner
  • Consistently, accurately, and neatly perform related clerical duties and other tasks assigned by supervisor including typing and copying
  • Maintain both personal and work area in an appropriate professional and neat manner
  • Reflect professional reliability and dependability through compliance of hospital attendance policy

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • MS4 experience preferred
  • Experience: Experience operating switchboard, computer, and other business equipment
  • Skills: Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong ability to multi-task.
