Operations Assistant - Student

Regular Part-Time, Non-Exempt

$12 per hour

Actively hiring for Summer 2024

• Students are eligible to work up to 40 hours/week during the summer
• Preference given to applicants with the capacity to work a minimum of 12hrs/week, with availability to assist in covering the front desk during lunch

Are you a K-State student interested in a flexible work schedule, competitive pay, and supporting the University? The Operations team is searching for a student employee to assist our front desk/reception area this summer!

Front Desk/Reception

Assist with answering the main business phone line and direct incoming phone calls. Greet guests with hospitality and professionalism. Provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external clients. Assist with building opening and closing duties.

Conference Room Setup

Coordinate meeting setup in conference rooms, including A/V equipment and refreshments.

• High school diploma or equivalent and currently enrolled in coursework at Kansas State University.
• Ability to prioritize guest needs and ensure positive interactions under pressure
• Proven ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means
• General office work experience
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license with an acceptable driving record

What we want:

• Proficient use of programs in the Microsoft Office suite
• 1-2 years of experience in an office focused on providing excellent customer service
• Passion and enthusiasm for the university and mission of the Foundation
