General Summary of Position: This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Facilities Management and will work closely with leadership under the Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation. This position will serve as the primary liaison with researchers, Environmental Health & Safety, and Facilities to develop and manage programs and processes for successful research operations, efficient space utilization, and effective equipment and lab system maintenance on the UMass Lowell campus. They will coordinate a range of maintenance and service support activities for laboratory and research spaces, lab equipment, and connected building systems. They will blend their technical knowledge of facilities, research and lab safety with strong interpersonal skills to build a collaborative and synergistic environment and maintenance program for research facilities that supports ongoing growth of the research mission of the university.
