Position Summary: This RN will assist with admission and discharges on all patient units as needed. RN will float to different units based on discharge/ admission needs. Need will be determined by the house supervisor on unit where RN will be deployed. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Diploma (Not HS) in Nursing CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 years of RN experience Essential Functions: Performs all essential job functions of Registered Nurse (RN) . Initiates, creates, and maintains a collaborative practice with various physician groups and other units to address patient care issues and achieve optimal patient outcomes. Collaborates to evaluate effectiveness of patient education tools/programs and plans and makes recommendations for modification. Works directly with nurse manager in the areas of strategic planning, personnel management, and unit operation. Displays creativity by independently developing and implementing an innovative approach to patient population. Seeks out new methods that will improve efficiency. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
