Job Description


Responsible for assigning responsibilities to department personnel and coordinating department activities and personnel. Monitors department's performance for safety, quality and productivity.

  • Assigns work and guides department personnel in completion of assignments in accordance with production schedules, utilizing labor and equipment in the most efficient manner.
  • Performs duties of supervisor when he or she is unavailable.
  • May be called upon to perform the following functions at the direction of the department supervisor:
  • Trains department workers on assignments, assuring proper performance and work habits are being met.
  • Keeps supervisor aware of personnel problems so prompt action might be taken.
  • Is mindful of improved methods or processes in completing assignments. Implements new ideas.
  • Completes departmental paperwork as required.
  • Monitors department to ensure adherence to quality procedures and process instructions.
  • Responsible for keeping areas neat, clean, organized, and under control.
  • Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Required: High school education.

Preferred: High school education and six months previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
