Job Description


Position Responsibilities:

* Take directions from Leads.

* Verify daily assignments as posted on the Clayton Production Board.

* Obtain needed supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

* Operate different types of rubber injection molding presses.

* Deflash parts of extra material using punch press.

* Pick cavities as required.

* Operate a "Vision Machine" for inspection of parts.

* Complete all necessary production documentation.

* Report hourly production rates, via production paperwork.

* Report any issue with safety to Lead.

* Report any issue with quality to Lead.

* Report any issue with presses to Lead.

* Follow 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) procedures throughout shift.

* Follow all safety practices, procedures, and company policies.

* Maintain or exceed the MSS standard production rate for parts being molded.

* Assist in keeping an accurate record of where parts are being made and an accurate record of inventory by using Lot Traceability through accurate production reporting.

* Participate in Safety Initiatives

* All other duties as tasked.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Good time management skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously with little to no supervision.

* Ability to read, write legibly, and use elementary math.

* Effective written, and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to commit to company values and customer requirements.

* Able to work independently and work well with others.

* High school graduate / GED.

Nonessential Skills & Experience

* 1 or more years of previous manufacturing experience preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand for long periods of time, bend, lean, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, have good manual dexterity for breaking parts free from runners and molds, and occasionally use gate cutters to de flash parts. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for inspection of parts produced.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather temperatures prevalent at the time, including high temperatures between 90 and 120 degrees. During the winter months, additional clothing may be necessary to stay warm while on the production floor.
