New Patient Coordinator International Business Services Full Time 77933BR Job Summary The new patient coordinator will be responsible for answering phones, responding to inquiries, registering new patients in epic, collection of medical records and insurance documentation (if applicable) and any other required patient documentation. Communicates with clinics to ensure they are able to accommodate patient's request, communicates with clinic physicians on urgent International requests, submits payments to financial analyst for processing and meets with new patients to explain new patient process when it's an in-person inquiry. At times will need to schedule appointments, confirm and/ or re-schedule and cancel appointments for both new and existing patients. Provides guidance to patients on services provided by International Services. Follows all HIPPA guidelines and any other government agency requirements. Will handle additional administrative tasks within the department. Provide back-up to the international liaisons when needed. Department Description UCSF International Services assists hundreds of patients seeking care from countries outside the United States. Our patients come from 88 countries and our team of coordinators and financial analyst coordinate all aspects of a patient's visit from before the patient arrives to after they leave.
