Safety Program Manager will be responsible for the following:



  • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
  • Advises management on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
  • Develops training programs and implements training for employees in work site safety practices.
  • Leads the development, evaluation and continuous improvement of safety programs.
  • Oversees the activities of and partners with safety staff to:

    • Maintain safety files and records
    • Perform safety audits and inspections
    • Prepare written reports of findings and make recommendations for corrective or preventive measures and follow-up to ensure measures have been implemented
    • Conduct post-accident investigation and prepare reports to identify possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.


  • Identifying workplace hazards and developing feasible means of engineering controls and/or abatement.
  • Providing direction and technical support on compliance with OSHA standards and company procedures
  • Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of an environmental, health and safety management (EHS) system
  • Participating in regular scheduled workplace inspections, maintenance and initial and ongoing job safety analysis (JSA) and actively supporting manufacturing and facility engineering for equipment set-up
  • Conducting root cause accident and incident investigations and developing subsequent corrective actions
  • Development and training for Site emergency response coordination
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems


What you will need to succeed:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, human resources, environmental health and safety or equivalent.

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in safety program management.



  • Ability to analyze complex data and situations and develop range of solutions.
  • Proven project management experience from concept development to implementation and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities to effectively provide direction, guidance and motivation to project teams and provide training.
  • Ability to organize and present complex technical and project management overviews.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Must be a decisive, action-orientated individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to communicate with all levels of employees and leaders cross functionally.
  • Proven ability to work effectively on team.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to use Adobe Premiere Pro, MS-Project, and MiniTab or learn software easily.
  • 30 hours of OSHA general industry training.
