This Opportunity:

Palladium has three portfolios that strengthen and harness digital
and data ecosystems to accelerate development investments and outcomes: 1-
Information Systems (IS) 2- Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Analytics
(MELA) and 3- Digital Solutions and Transformation (DST).

We are proactively building a talent pool for future Senior
Manager, Project Delivery positions within our organization. As a Senior
Manager, Project Delivery, you will be responsible for supporting projects
within our IS, MELA and DST portfolios. The Senior Manager, Project Delivery plays
a key role in leading day-to-day management activities of the project team. Through
this experience and working closely with their PMU and other teams, Senior Managers,
Project Delivery are expected to gain the competencies and skills needed to
progress to Director level roles in project delivery or functional areas.

Experienced Senior Managers will have opportunities to support
other units within the firm in our collaborative and agile environment, as well
as to travel for project oversight or business development pursuits. Typically,
Senior Managers serve as thought leaders, proposal champions, and Project
Directors; they also may have opportunities to fill short- and long-term
assignments overseas.

Compensation:


The position is based in Palladium's
Washington DC / New York, NY / Chapel Hill, NC office.

Per company guidance, we are aiming to keep hiring closer to our
main U.S. offices. If we are unable to find successful candidates who are
willing to work from the D.C., NY, or NC office, then as a last resort we may
discuss the possibility of considering exceptional candidates to work
permanently remotely (from other U.S. states where Palladium is registered).

experience, skills, seniority, performance, and Palladium's business or
organizational needs.

Reporting and Supervision:

  • This role will report to a Director, Measurement and Learning, Information Systems or Digital Solutions and Transformation, depending on project assignment.
  • Senior Managers typically supervise one or more Associates, Sr. Associates, or Managers
  • The position may entail overseas travel, at approximately 10% time and for periods averaging 2 weeks.

Primary
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads technical work in topic area including: research, analysis and publication of technical reports, case studies, policy and program approaches, and technical tools on topics related to expand existing lines of business
  • Manages relationship with partner organizations on compliant delivery of inputs and the achievement of agreed upon outputs and outcomes
  • Builds team cohesiveness, leads, mentors, trains, and motivates staff to ensure cooperation, project efficiency, and boost morale
  • Manages project changes including project scope, schedule, and costs to keep the project plan accurate and updated
  • Writes technical proposals for USAID and other donor funded opportunities based on best practices applied to specific country/regional contexts
  • Collaborates with peers to identify new research approaches and potential markets for those services
  • Leads teams to implement new work including assignment and management of staff to new activities, initiatives or projects
  • Identifies new markets and sales opportunities, direct sales and proposal efforts to expand Palladium's technical expertise on existing lines of business
  • Maintains an industry presence as a thought leader by publishing regularly in peer reviewed journals and/or by presenting at annual conferences and meetings
  • Directs and manages complex components of large projects, or series of smaller projects, with responsibility for work planning, budget management, project deliverables, client relations, and staff supervision
  • Oversees and ensures quality of the development of reports, budgets, workplans, proposals and other outputs for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifies, builds, and maintains relationships with partners and consultants that provide technical expertise to both proposals and/or projects
  • Acts as main point of contact for regular communication to all stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Extensive experience implementing USAID and/or other donor funded projects
  • Successful track record in delivery of complex programs
  • Strong management skills to mentor, coach, lead, develop and evaluate employees
  • Leads problem solving initiative and implements new ways of working and processes.
    Experience networking across the development community, including donors, implementing partners, and cooperating country organizations and governmental institutions
  • Excellent team management skills in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, and consultants
  • Extensive experience with conceptualizing and making presentations to small and large groups (over 30 individuals), both in-person and virtually
  • Demonstrated strong financial skills for generating, interpreting, and analyzing financial reports and forecasts
  • Ability to travel and work in developing countries for extended periods of time (20-30%)

Professional
Expertise/Competencies Preferred:

  • Experience working within an international organization or business
  • Experience supporting work implementing USAID- or other donor-funded projects
  • Experience working in a developing country or in a project-based environment
  • Experience with conceptualizing and making presentations, both in-person and virtually
  • Experience networking across the development community, including with donors, implementing partners, and developing country organizations and governmental institutions
  • Experience in visualization or business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, or open-source platforms like Metabase or Apache Superset
  • Excellent English language communication skills and fluency in international language
