OneWorld operates the Learning Community Center of South Omaha. The LCC offers a parent and child education program to families in eleven high-poverty elementary schools in South Omaha. We teach the parents essential skills to help their children succeed in elementary school. Our center and its satellite locations allow us to assist over 250 families in the community. Classes include parenting workshops, English courses, and computer training. Child care is provided on-site during the hours that the parents are in class. The Learning Community Center is nationally recognized; we earned a White House honor as a Bright Spot in Hispanic Education.

We are looking for an energetic Substitute Child Learning Provider who is passionate about helping families. The Child Learning Provider is responsible for the direct care, supervision, and safety of the children at the Learning Community Center. They will create and implement age-appropriate activities using music, art, literacy, etc. to promote Kindergarten readiness.

This is a substitute (on-call) position located in South Omaha (23rd & M.), primarily filling in when teachers are out or when attendance is high. The schedule will be approximately 4-10 hours per week on average.

To ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and communities, OneWorld Community Health Centers is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective November 15th, 2021. Exemptions may be granted for religious or medical accommodations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent child care experience preferred.

- Certificate or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

- Valid driver's license required.

- Computer competency (Microsoft Office and date tracking software) preferred.

- Proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred.
