Defense Capabilities Experimentation Acquisition Portfolio Analyst

As a defense mission professional, you'll bring your in-depth understanding and expertise to support a senior defense client in building an enduring acquisition infrastructure for delivering integrated joint, system-of-systems capabilities.You'll apply leading-edge principles and concepts gained from prior staff officer experience to support dedicated analysis, planning, resource recommendations, and portfolio management necessary to identify and implement innovative ways to deliver technologies.You'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we'll look to you to proactively identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes to address complex DoD acquisition and investment problems. You will operate with substantial latitude to lead and innovate decision analyses for documenting lessons learned from joint pathfinder proposals, the process barriers that they are addressing, and how to efficiently broaden the process reform so that other capabilities can benefit.You'll guide the work we do in leveraging threat-based mission thread analyses to identify and formulate new proposals for pathfinder efforts that address the senior leadership priorities of operational impact and process reform impact.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working with the DoD

  • Experience with the "Big A" Acquisition enterprise, including Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), and the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF)

  • Experience as a self starter, effectively executing the action and staff officer role on OSD, Joint Staff, or Service-level headquarter staff, including developing strategies, decision briefs, and information papers, and analyzing policy documents for the DoD

  • Expertise in developmental or operational testing of prototype systems and technologies that have been demonstrated in realistic environments, and the transition process to field them as enduring operational capabilities

  • Expertise working as part of a cross-functional delivery team, integrating and incorporating detailed technical data from multiple team members into executive level decision-making products, and effectively communicating the findings, insights, and recommendations to senior-level clients

  • Ability to anticipate client and stakeholder requirements, perform proactively while paying strict attention to detail, and work with minimum oversight

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Expertise with tactical use of Intelligence Community Title 50 capabilities, including Service TENCAP initiatives and Combat Support Agency (CSA) processes

  • Experience with Program Management or Capability Portfolio Management

  • Experience writing and synthesizing data from multiple sources into comprehensive technical documents that are easy to comprehend

  • Ability to work independently, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
