Sr. Revenue Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Revenue Analyst to work cross-functionally within Fortinet in driving revenue recognition controls and processes as the Company continues to scale and strives to be the top security company globally. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who would like to play a key role in Finance/Revenue, to develop his/her career progressively and comprehensively at a fast growing company in the field of network security.

Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting Close and Compliance:



  • Maintain the Enterprise Service Agreement tracker and work with the cross-functional teams to track and document all revenue impacting terms. Perform accounting tasks related to Enterprise Agreements.
  • Work on New Product Introduction (NPI) and update revenue attributes for new SKUs in Oracle system. Perform ad-hoc review of SKU assignments.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end revenue close related tasks. Analyze revenue trends and investigate variances. Prepare period end revenue reporting for management review.
  • Prepare revenue and deferred revenue journal entries and account reconciliations for various B/S and P&L accounts.
  • Review non-standard revenue contracts and perform adjustments as needed.
  • Support internal/external audit requests for control and substantive testing. Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and audit & SOX controls.


Revenue System:



  • Assist revenue system management by working with IT proactively to schedule system programs to maintain up-to-date data in Zuora cloud, Oracle and/or BI for revenue recognition, and revenue reporting purpose.
  • Participate in quarterly system upgrade testing to ensure system core functionalities remain as-is while driving system performance improvement.
  • Participate in system enhancement projects and assist in UATs as needed.


Process Automation and Transformation:



  • Actively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency to drive close acceleration.
  • Participate in the development of process enhancements to drive efficiency and reduce manual work.


Requirements



  • B. S. Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent a plus
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably exposure in revenue area
  • Solid general accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
  • A team player and solid communicator (verbal and written), including the ability to interact professionally across functions and geographies
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, high growth, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong initiative to drive and commitment to meet tight deadlines
  • High degree of diligence, strong analytical and intermediate/advanced MS-Excel skills (such as vlookup, pivot tables)
  • Experience with Oracle, Zuora (RevPro), Salesforce.com and Tableau, a plus

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $100,000 - $140,000 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
