Job Summary:

The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for the design, development and implementation of effective learning solutions to support the training needs of Belden's partners and customers. This role will oversee the development of training programs and content surrounding Belden's business operations, products, solutions and services within its Broadband, Industrial Automation and Smart Buildings business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adult learning and instructional design methods, the ability to distill complex concepts into digestible learning plans and work across functions, regions and stakeholders to create impactful learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

Key Technical Responsibilities

-Follow instructional design methodologies to design, develop and evaluate courses. Assess skills gaps and propose priorities for future development.

-Critically analyze existing partner training curricula; uncover and propose ways to elevate the training to become more effective and engaging.

-Effectively storyboard, write scripts and source media and graphics for the training courses.

-Design learning experiences that conform to adult and technology learning best practices and address the needs of the program and audience.

-Develop content in multiple languages, which may include Spanish, French, German or more. Design courses with closed caption capabilities or other text and audio adaptations based on audience needs.

-Create, maintain and adhere to eLearning templates, content design requirements and guidelines, quality process, content publishing process and requirements.

-Drive the development of instructional design projects and deliverables.

-Coach others in the development of learning materials to help them self-service their team's learning needs.

-Work with instructional designers and LMS administrators across matrixed environment to share best practices, find efficiencies and collaborate.

Key Program Responsibilities

-Design and maintain instructional materials for Belden's Partner Alliance program members, which includes Distributor, Installer, System Integrator and Ecosystem partners.

-Understand the needs of each partner audience and design materials to effectively educate.

-Interface with stakeholders across Belden's business units and functions to develop specifications and ensure content is aligned to business strategy.

-Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop training content and ensure technical accuracy of materials.

-Manage relationships and projects with external agencies and technical instructors to develop high-impact content and learning programs.

-Establish processes for regular review and maintenance of course materials to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and currency of all information.

-Establish learning program effectiveness metrics. Analyze results, identify improvements and continuously refine programs.

-Develop curriculum to meet continuing education and accreditation board standards. Maintain course accreditations and manage educational credits (CECs) programs with relevant external providers.

Required Skills and Experience

-Experience and proficiency using Learning Management Systems, eLearning development tools and screen casting tools. Docebo, Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360 preferred.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively

-Ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams##Strong attention to detail, organizational and project management skills

-Ability to operate under ambiguity

-Passion for learning, communicating and enabling commercial teams

-2+ years of instructional design experience

-Bachelors' degree in Instructional Design, related field or equivalent experience

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $71,800 - 107,700 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
