Construction Management Intern

The Construction Management Internship is a temporary position with an emphasis of on-the-job training. This internship will be for a fixed period of time and requires current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Engineering or related field. The ideal candidate is a third or fourth-year student, with strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist the Project Team for successful execution of construction projects
  • Attend Weekly Construction Meetings for assigned projects
  • Assist Project Team in taking Meeting Minutes for assigned projects
  • Assist Project Team with reviewing and tracking project Submittals, RFI's and change order requests
  • Assist with writing daily field reports and taking construction progress photographs
  • Assist with tracking of project schedule
  • Assist with reviewing and scheduling special inspection requests
  • Ability to travel to Gonzales, CA to the construction job site
Qualifications and Skills
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program inConstruction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Must be a team-player with a positive attitude
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Computer Skills such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Bluebeam, Procore and Microsoft Project knowledge are a plus
  • Previous engineering and/or construction management internships are a plus
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate offered for this position $20hr-$25hr. Actual pay offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
