Job Description:

Program Manager, Finance & Accounts is a key function within the WorldStrides Higher Education (ISA and TEAN) Enrollment Management team. This full-time position will support study abroad locations across 1-2 regions, serving as the main point of contact for all inquiries related to program and student finances. This position will work closely with ISA and TEAN Program Managers, Senior Leadership, and Resident Directors overseas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Finance



  • Invoice students and universities, collect payments, track outstanding balances, follow up to collect late payments
  • Process financial aid forms track disbursements of student aid
  • Set up and track payment plans
  • Keep track of program finances and make sure that students have all program related costs covered
  • Review and approve invoices to be paid out to host universities, housing agencies, and other international vendors
  • Assist with various accounting and finance projects as needed
  • Apply and collect cancellation fees in case of late withdrawal
  • Manage and track promotional discounts
  • Issue refunds



Accounts



  • Maintain the financial details in student accounts within CRM system
  • Process withdrawals, deferrals, and program changes
  • Update program contracts and other financial forms provided to students



Customer Service



  • Advise about financial aid, 529 plans, payment plans, and other forms of tuition assistance
  • Answer questions about the cancellation policy
  • Answer tax questions
  • Provide price breakdowns



Other



  • Work closely with Program Managers, Product Managers, and Resident Staff teammates reviewing program operations, and assist with making improvements and implementing changes
  • Collaborate cross-divisionally, assisting team members of other departments that need information about student or program finances
  • Serve as on-call staff member as required (about one week per year)
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities, program locations, and projects as deemed necessary for the position by WorldStrides Management.


Austin, Texas

  • Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid: Mondays and Fridays are WFH and Tuesdays - Thursdays are in the office)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of professional work experience preferred
  • Prior experience living, working, studying abroad, or international travel preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including outstanding phone manner
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Positive, helpful, and friendly attitude
  • A willingness to take on new tasks outside of the given job description
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Highly detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks / Time management
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
  • Valid passport
  • A passion and excitement for international education with a strong desire to grow and improve their program location(s)
  • Interpersonal and intercultural communication skills in a professional context
