Position Description

Perform a variety of duties having to do with preparation, loading and shipping domestic shipments. Prepare bills of lading and other paperwork. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Work Schedule

This position works 12-hour shifts, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am depending on shift. This schedule works on a 2-2-3 schedule (work two, off two, work three, and vice versa). The hours per week will be 36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week, then restart. Additional overtime may be required as necessary for the success of the team.

Certain Logistics Coordinator positions will be 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday with overtime as needed, based on company needs

Job Tasks and Responsibilities




  • Prepare finished goods for shipment
  • Prepare domestic shipments
  • Operate forklift or other power-driven equipment to load, unload, or move materials
  • Receive materials/inventory systematically in SAP Business One and prepare for put away
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock. Use barcode scanners properly and ensure that guidelines are followed for moving barcoded inventory. Maintain barcoded shelf labels
  • Utilize staging areas to organize workflow
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
  • Schedule trucks to pick up all outgoing shipments
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodation
  • Potential to prepare international shipments for outbound including BOLs, commercial invoices and proforma values



Required Education and Experience and Skills




  • High school diploma or equivalent, or
  • Six-months to one-year related experience and/or training, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


Physical Characteristics



  • Inside work, 90%
  • Outside work, 10%
  • Working temperatures ranging from 20-90F
  • Exposure to moving machinery/equipment/vehicles and confined/cramped spaces
  • Required PPE of safety glasses, earplugs, safety-toe shoes, beard/hair nets, and cut gloves
  • Constant standing/walking
  • Frequent sitting
  • Frequent stooping/squatting
  • Frequent kneeling/crawling/bending
  • Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying of 30-50lbs. for up to 100 feet
  • Frequent reaching high, low, and out

  • Repetitive and frequent use of wrist/hand/fingers
  • Good correctable visual acuity with both eyes
  • Good visual perception of color, depth, and fields
  • Good reading and writing abilities
