The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. The staff at the UCPath Center work in a variety of areas including business operations, customer service, quality management, technology, training, human resources and communications.

Position Summary
The IT Project Coordinator Intern will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple technology projects and communicate process. The IT Project Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project coordinator assistance to Lead Project Managers in the creation of project artifacts.
  • Assist with being able to develop, maintain, update, and oversee project plans and schedules using department tools and templates. Maintain project issue and risk process and/or defect logs.
  • Assist with documentation, meeting facilitation & coordination, document organization and other project management related tasks as assigned. Capture meeting notes, minutes and document project issues, risks, open items and key decisions
  • Facilitate focus group or team project meetings as needed. May lead smaller low priority project(s) or assist with monthly release management.
  • Update project content in project management software and/or Release/Project SharePoint sites. Create presentation decks that may be distributed and reviewed with Senior Leadership or locations.
  • Organize, attend, and participate in project meetings providing support to Lead Project Manager.
  • Provide support for various related tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications
Required

  • Currently enrolled University of California student
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise emails
  • Ability to communicate technical information to personnel at various levels in the organization
  • Demonstrate interest in learning in an enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve
  • Strong Knowledge in Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • Pursuing a degree in business, technology, or related field
  • Previous experience or coursework as a project coordinator

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or undergraduate degree in progress with expected graduation in Spring or Summer 2024

$25.50 - $35.00 per hour - Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Internships available for currently enrolled University of California students only. Non-UC students will not be considered.

Visa sponsorship not available.

This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at the UCPath Center in Riverside and remote in California.
