The RoleWe are looking for a Product Manager to join our dynamic team. As a member of the Product Management team within the Petroleum Supply Chain business unit, you'll have the opportunity to work on AspenTech's next-generation Supply Chain applications.

You will collaborate with other Product Managers in our business unit to ensure the successful delivery of our full portfolio of offerings for Refinery Planning and Scheduling.

You will work closely with our R&D department and ensure project execution, profitability and customer satisfaction. You'll join a team of very skilled, talented, and passionate people, always bringing the industry's best practices to our workflow.

The ideal candidate has good business acumen, is at ease in speaking both technical and business languages and is literate in Refinery Planning and Scheduling, Cloud applications Machine Learning. Your Impact
  • Gather business requirements and use cases from customers, other AspenTech product managers, sales and customer support. Use this data in the roadmap strategy.
  • Prioritize the roadmap deliverables and secure required development resources to ensure timely delivery of those roadmap items.
  • Interact with stakeholders to ensure the success of the product.
  • Translate the data gathered to build a case for decisions presented in the roadmap.
  • Champion the product vision and strategy, exhibiting good product judgment, continuously setting clear and measurable objectives, and monitoring the product's progression to achieve these.
  • Communicate this strategy to all the relevant participants and stakeholders.
  • Support PM leadership for pricing and licensing strategies for the product.
  • Work with the R&D teams to define functional architecture, processes, and development efforts required for the delivery of the product.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop and implement go-to-market plans for product line.
  • Understand market, commercial and product usage data to produce quantitative analyses covering market size, growth rate, and other key success factors.
  • Develop and maintain market-oriented value propositions for target customers and target industries.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support for Marketing and Sales teams as a result of detailed commercial/product analyses and business modeling.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer sciences or equivalent. MBA or entrepreneurial experience would be a plus.
  • 3-8 years of enterprise in Oil and Gas, Software, or relevant industries.
  • Experience in Refinery planning, scheduling or operations.
  • Exposure to AspenTech software such as Aspen PIMS, Aspen Petroleum Scheduler, Unified planning & scheduling, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Refinery and Petrochemical Planning and Scheduling business process.
  • Understanding and application of Agile project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proven business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives to application/architecture requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
  • Open minded - able to think within and outside the box.
  • Great problem solver - who can think through problems and develop solutions quickly.
