Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Hem BMT Inpatient HBC Full Time 77230BR Job Summary We're hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a highly skilled, dynamic group of APPs on the inpatient Hematology, Blood & Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapies unit at the Parnassus campus of UCSF Health. Our patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, stem cell transplant or cellular therapies for the treatment of hematologic malignancies. To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: Required Qualifications Minimum two (2) years of recent experience as Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient adult hematology, oncology and/or blood and marrow transplant program working as a first call/primary provider, or completion of a Cancer Center APP Fellowship program. Demonstrated competence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership, problem identification/resolution, and teaching. Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an academic medical center managing patients in a high acuity setting as a first call provider. Experience as a proceduralist. License/Certification California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Must hold current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC Table for reference: Must hold a current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California. Must have completed a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner. Must obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer). Must have submitted enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments. Must hold current AHA BLS as minimum requirement. State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice. Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1. UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
