Job Description

Job Summary: Employee will operate carousel system to pull jobs, replenish inventory and pull orders for shipping. Employee will receive materials from outside vendors using mainframe system. This position requires the use of UPS, Federal Express, and other carrier systems to ship products. Includes usage and knowledge of international shipping requirements. Job Duties: * Package boxes, crates and prepare final shipment of large variety of components and assemblies as directed per customer requirements. * Demonstrates an understanding of packaging requirements for each customer and is familiar with certain packaging equipment. * Process export paperwork and shipments. * Verify that parts have shipped and then invoices shippers at the end of each workday. * Responsible for coordinating shipments in customer portals. * Primary for scanning shippers and associated documents to local drive. * Evaluates export requirements and ensures compliance of all shipment related documentation and reporting. * Ordering trucks for shipment of various non-standard deliveries. * Receives, counts, and completes paperwork for incoming parts, products and/or materials and distributes incoming shipment contents. * Acts as last audit point to ensure all shipment documentation is complete, accurate and present. Coordinates with team to resolve issues. * Good record keeping and filing is essential. * As necessary package boxes, crates and prepare final shipment of large variety of components and assemblies as directed per customer requirements. * Demonstrates an understanding of packaging requirements for each customer and is familiar with certain packaging equipment. * Perform any other responsibilities as required and/or directed to support the overall goals of the Operations Team. Qualifications: Education and Experience: * High school diploma or GED * 6 months of experience in related area. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Must demonstrate good manual dexterity, reliable judgment, and possess a willingness to learn. * May require forklift operator certificate. * Good knowledge of computer terminal operations, shipping software. * Must demonstrate good manual dexterity, reliable judgment, and possess a willingness to learn Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; extensive bending, lifting, and stooping and long periods of standing.
