Summer Jobs for Leaders - Teachers/Coaches/Supervisors

SUMMARY: In this role, you will lead a small group of 10-15 seasonal production employees in our Carrollton facility. Our seasonal production staff is made up of a diverse and dynamic group that includes a broad range of cultures and ages from 16-year-old first-time job workers to retirees coming back to work for a summer. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a professional environment, providing guidance, instructions, and direction to the group. In this role, you will also at times be required to take on the responsibilities of general production staff which could include order selection, packaging, or other additional tasks.

SEASONAL PRODUCTION LEAD ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure safety for oneself and all employees regardless of who their direct report is.
• Oversee, train, and assist staff working on tasks.
• Set a good example.
• Establish clear expectations and goals.
• Communicate to supervisor/manager any areas of concern as they arise.
• Maintain established workplace rules, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to work on foot for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 35lbs or more.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned which may include working in any aspects of Operations or other departments.

SEASONAL PRODUCTION LEAD QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Professional, dependable, and reliable with a strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from all sources.
• Must be able to perform a job from oral or written instructions.
• Must have the ability to maintain composure to control emotions under stress using tact, good judgment, and the ability to work with others as a team.

SEASONAL PRODUCTION LEAD EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in leadership, coaching, and mentoring with a proven track record of success is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) verbal communication skills a plus

SEASONAL PRODUCTION LEAD WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to tolerate a moderate-to-high noise level in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to work in extreme (hot or cold) weather conditions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available to work 1st or 2nd shift as needed based on production schedule demands as production schedules and shifts may change depending on workload.

SCHEDULE

• 8 Hour Shift
• Monday to Friday
