With a new, permanent home at UCF's Academic Health Sciences Center, we will have more space to prepare more Knight nurses with academic excellence and more opportunities to impact more lives with innovative, interdisciplinary research.

The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Nursing (CON) is seeking qualified candidates for an Internship Experiences Coordinator I position. This position will provide support for students and clinical faculty by coordinating and evaluating clinical experiences within the College of Nursing graduate students. The Internship Experiences Coordinator I will work with faculty and clinical facilities to develop and arrange clinical experiences that meet the objectives of clinical courses.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain agency and preceptor relationships, student clinical placements, and site-specific placement requirements.

  • CastleBranch clinical requirements and document reviews and onboarding of students as required by the clinical agency.

  • Evaluate student eligibility for clinical placement and conduct clinical course registration.

  • Determine the appropriateness of preceptor for clinical experiences.

  • Schedule and review site evaluations in LEAP*RN. Maintain and track preceptor clinical hours in LEAP*RN.

  • Support clinical faculty in the evaluation of student clinical proficiency and progression.

  • Maintain, provide, and seek relevant information for students, faculty, and administrators, including managing data pertinent to state, regional, and national accreditation.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219..

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience using Excel spreadsheets or other data management tools.

  • Strong oral and written interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience working with healthcare agencies and/or providers.

  • Experience with CastleBranch or other health records management systems.

  • Student-serving/student-facing interaction and support experience.

  • Prior Higher Education experience.
