The RoleThis position will report to the Tax Director based in Bedford, MA, and have primary responsibilities of assisting the Tax Director with all of the tax operations in both US and foreign countries, including tax compliance, quarterly and year-end worldwide consolidated tax provision under the guidance of ASC 740 and related tax footnote disclosures. This is a hands-on role, interacting and collaborating with other Finance teams and outside service providers to ensure the timely and accurate execution of tax functions. This position will oversee a total of 3 tax team. Your Impact
  • Manage and review the Company's quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated tax provision under ASC 740.
  • Review US Federal and State tax data requests and responses for information provided to the external compliance service provider.
  • Manage and organize US Federal, State and foreign income tax filings, including estimated tax payments and extensions.
  • Manage the international tax calendar and all of the foreign tax compliance deadlines.
  • Periodically review foreign operations and determine if any new uncertain tax positions are required/needed.
  • Maintain and revise as necessary SOX compliant policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external advisors with any global and local country transfer pricing studies.
  • Research complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations and other relevant authorities/guidance and generate tax technical memos.
  • Perform technical tax reviews of assigned US and foreign tax returns of varying complexities.
  • Calculate foreign tax credits under IRC Sections 901 and 902.
  • Calculate Subpart F and IRC Section 956 inclusions, Earnings & Profits and tax pools.
  • Calculate FDII and GILTI for US and all CFCs.
  • Monitor intercompany balances for tax exposures.
  • Monitor permanent establishment (PE) exposures.
  • Manage US Federal and state tax audits and assist in various foreign tax audits.
  • Assist with special projects, including tax due diligence relating to potential acquisitions, divestitures and internal reorganizations, foreign dividend planning, etc.
  • Assist with withholding tax ramifications on customer contracts.
What You'll Need
  • CPA or MST.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of U.S. Federal and international corporate tax experience, either in-house with U.S. multinational corporations or in public accounting, preferably Big Four.
  • Deep technical expertise in ASC 740 and US GAAP as it relates to US multinational corporations.
  • Experience with SEC reporting is required.
  • Experience in managing and administering US Federal and State tax audits.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team.
  • High degree of technical competence in US corporate tax laws.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed; be able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple complex assignments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of US tax regulations as they pertain to foreign operations and transactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to mentor and develop junior professional staff.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and critical thinking.
  • Possess the curiosity and eagerness to learn new emerging technology and business trends and translate that into executable opportunities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiation, and critical thinking.
  • Experience in tax technology, including visualization tools, and tax compliance software preferred (e.g., Corptax, OneSource, HFM, SAP, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI etc.) and excellent skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
