Description

The Department of Economics at Denison University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the field of Labor Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor starting August 2024. Strong candidates will demonstrate a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of a small residential liberal arts institution, as well as a clear and active research agenda in the field of labor economics which complements the existing strengths of the department. Primary teaching responsibilities will include an upper-level elective course in labor economics; introductory and advanced econometrics; introductory courses in economics; and additional elective courses related to the candidate's area of expertise. The teaching load for this position is 5 courses per academic year.

The Department of Economics at Denison has fourteen full-time faculty members who appreciate diverse approaches to economics. Qualifications

Ph.D. in economics or related field required by start date of appointment (ABD will be considered as Instructor until PhD is attained); potential for strong teaching and active research agenda in the field of labor economics in a liberal arts college environment.
