Job Summary:



The director of student and alumni engagement is responsible for enhancing the School of Management's student experience, with a special emphasis on the undergraduate experience. They work closely with students and student organizations to develop experiences, events, etc. that complement the other educational experiences available to students. They look for opportunities to add or modify the suite of student organizations and experiences. They meet regularly with student organizations and their leadership teams and identify opportunities for these organizations to collaborate and innovate. They also work with faculty advisors for the organizations to plan and support these groups.

The SOM has an active and engaged advisory board. The director provides vital support to the activities of this board, including help with fundraising activities, events, and student assistance. They support and coordinate the mentorship program, executive visits, and alumni panels and events. The director also works closely with partner offices across the campus (for example, Career Services, Student Affairs, and Advancement) to ensure that the SOM is working effectively with these offices for the benefit of our students and alumni. The director helps with the process of program assessment and enhancement, soliciting and responding to student feedback and sharing insights from this feedback with faculty and administrators as appropriate. They also administer the mentorship program and assist in coordinating and tracking internships and other student outcomes.



Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant job experience.



Essential Functions:



Supporting advisory board and student organization activities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others. Envisioning and executing events and activities that complement the educational experiences of our students. Partnering effectively with other offices on campus that also support our students and alumni/friends. Supporting program assessment and improvement activities.



Preferred Qualifications:



Master's degree in relevant field.
