Description:
The Senior Information Technology (IT) Auditor understands security risks and information technologies and effectively assists business units with assessing risk levels of internal processes. In addition, the Senior IT Auditor evaluates risk according to best practices and compliance mandates to provide detailed reports. The Senior IT Auditor will serve as the primary point of contact for third party auditors conducting engagements, facilitating to ensure teams are abiding by safe computing and administrative procedures. Normal Day-to-Day Work
- Perform information technology audit work, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing, and analyzing evidence, while documenting processes and procedures.
- Perform general information technology security audits and/or application control reviews and assessments to address audit objectives.
- Evaluate the information security program, including recommending updates to existing policies and procedures to ensure they are in accordance with established industry practice and compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Evaluate and provide the appropriate levels of consulting, testing, assistance and recommendations for the use, integration, maintenance, and enhancement of the information technology systems.
- Coordinate external IT audits and assessments. Organize, track and ensure the remediation of IT audits or assessment findings and recommendations.
- Assist in preparing audit reports in a timely manner for internal and external audiences.
- Stay abreast of evolving technologies and arears of risk against rapidly changing threat landscapes, as well as standards and compliance requirements.
- Build relationships with business units to verify incorporation of security-by-design controls in projects, architecture, infrastructure, and applications.
Job Qualifications Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.
- Minimum 7-9 years of experience as an auditor with 4-6 years focused on IT or Cybersecurity auditing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted information technology audit, financial standards, information technology security and control practices of financial systems and processes.
- In-depth knowledge of network routing, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, internet filtering, anti-virus technology and application security.
- Ability to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information and systems, draw logical conclusions, assess the effectiveness of internal controls over key information technology risks, identify significant exposures and develop appropriate recommendations.
- Strong organization, time management and communication skills are required. Must be comfortable writing technical documentation.
- Ability to function in a consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
- Minimal travel required.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, business administration or related technical field preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation and/or Certified System Security Professional (CISSP) designation is preferred.
