Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst will evaluate products, systems, and software to ensure they are free of defects and meet the organization's quality standards. They will assist and support the organization by providing guidance and recommendations based on testing outcomes, project roadblocks and application downtime. The QA Analyst will follow a quality assurance program built around testing processes and procedures that help drive business continuity. They will assist in all testing scenarios and provide solutions to solve internal and external issues through effective communication and building strong relationships throughout the organization.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

  1. Identifies and remedies defects within the production process.
  2. Recommends, implements, and monitors preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
  3. Compiles and analyzes statistical data for review.
  4. Ensures that user expectations are met during the testing process.
  5. Investigates stakeholder complaints and product issues.
  6. Communicates quality standards and parameters to application development team, and other appropriate staff.
  7. Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple applications, releases, or updates; recommends solutions to these issues where applicable.
  8. Ensures all testing and validation of current and future software applications meet Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements.

Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.

  1. Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Quality Assurance.
  2. Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
  3. Hands-on experience in preparing/developing clear and concise test scenarios (user stories) and executing test cases.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of QA tools and processes.
  5. Ability to learn and gain domain knowledge on the job.
  6. Ability to function in a consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
  7. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  8. Minimal travel required and must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.

Here are a few qualifications we'd LIKE you to have to make you more suited for this position.

  1. Experience in the financial industry.
  2. Demonstrated facilitation, presentation skills, and strong technical acumen.
  3. Adept at conducting research, testing to understand the system functionality, and communicating issues/problems to Business Solutions Team.
  4. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  5. Experience with Fiserv DNA or comparable core banking system.
  6. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders during all phases of SDLC.
