Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Division encompasses 7 imaging rooms located on the 2nd floor, Doan Hall. The Ross Heart Hospital Nuclear Cardiology Division encompasses 3 imaging rooms and two treadmill rooms located on the first floor, Ross. The PET/CT facility is located at 236 Doan Hall. The Nuclear Medicine division is staffed 6:00 am 5:30 pm Monday - Friday; with weekday evenings, Saturday amp; Sunday hours covered on an on-call basis excluding PET/CT procedures.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs rest and stress weekend myocardial perfusion studies Saturday amp; Sunday 7 am ? 5:30 pm. The Ross weekend team includes a stress nurse, physician and two imaging technologists.
The Nuclear Medicine Imaging Technologist performs myoperfusion nuclear medicine procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation (including SPECT and PET), accomplishes computer processing and image enhancement, and provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation, under the direction of the Senior Nuclear Medicine/PET Imaging Technologists and the Radiology Manager in Nuclear Medicine.

Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications
Certification and active registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
Licensure in Radiologic Technology (Nuclear Medicine) by the State of Ohio Department of Health. Graduate of accredited N.M. program A.R.R.T.-Radiography preferred.
