Sterile Processing Technician II - Main OR Westwood

Description Under the general direction ofthe Sterile Processing Tech Manager and the Management Services Officers (MSO),serve as an instrument technician within the Surgical Supply division of themain operating rooms. Ability to process surgical instrumentation in adecontamination setting and assembly and sterilization of instrument trays,which are necessary to provide continuous service for all surgical procedurerooms. Operate steam and H2O2 sterilizers, sonic equipment, washers, heatsealers and dumb waiter. Store, date and rotate supplies according to TJC andCMS guidelines
Salary range: $26.04-$34.39 Hourly

Qualifications We're seeking ahighly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:
* Working knowledge of aseptictechnique, sterile fields and the principles of an Operating Roomdecontamination required.
* Sterile Processing Tech program or equivalent experience required
* 1 year in a Hospital setting required
* IAHCSMM Certification as a C.R.C.S.T. (preferred)
* Ability to lift surgical trays weighing up to 25lbs, handle surgical case cartsweighing 200lbs.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time.
