The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department is seeking interested individuals to support the parks and sports facility maintenance division. Work locations include neighborhood parks, large community parks and the Peoria Sports Complex (home to the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres). Responsibilities include but are not limited to, performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks by cleaning, maintaining, and inspecting athletic fields, grounds, facilities and park amenities using a variety of power tools and equipment. This position occasionally requires communication with facility users and team personnel.

As well as being a results oriented people person, the successful candidate will also be:

• A highly skilled, safety conscious, punctual team player with a high work ethic.
• Someone that understands that they will be hired to perform a job, that is schedule and work order driven.
• Comfortable and able to execute essential functions in highly visible, public use areas
• Self-motivated and able to work both individually and with a team with a basic understanding of common maintenance methods, practices, and use of written forms and routines of a basic nature.
• Interested in a flexible part-time schedule with an estimated 18-30 hours per week.
• Open to schedules that vary depending on assignment and could include nights and weekends.
