Job Description

The Data Policy change management and socialization Senior Manager will contribute to a massive effort of challenging status quo on how Visa treats and uses data. The individual will be involved in execution of a wide spectrum of projects, related (but not limited) to data privacy and protection. Such projects would cover various angles of Data Policy activities, from scoping and actual establishment and review of analytics rules and data values to acting as an SME for business, facilitating training and supporting data related requests across the organization.

The individual will work cross functionally, collaborating globally across multiple Visa teams including Global Privacy Office, Visa Consulting and Analytics team, various client-facing teams, such as Business Development and Merchant Sales and Acquiring teams, regional hubs, Visa University and most extensively with other members of the Data Policy, Platforms and Programs team and Global Privacy Office to operationalize Visa's Data Values and governance processes throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate has experience working in Analytics, MIS or Data Science departments or a Consulting firm, leading analytical projects for FIs. Project management experience is beneficial.

The individual should be able to formalize the core concepts of Visa's data policies in actual rules, guidelines, and procedures and communicate them clearly across the organization.

Flex Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

This is a New York-based position. The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $142,300 USD to $185,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSH/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time off, and Wellness Program.

Responsibilities

  • Influence the development of the Enterprise Data Policy elements in partnership with GPO and in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Change management around Data Policy (keeping the policy up-to-date and in line with rapid market changes and new demands and controls).
  • Lead projects on training development and execution on the Data Policy and Data values across the organization in partnership with VU.
  • Lead projects on socialization of Data Policy across Visa.
  • Contribute to content for internal CDO Insite and external Data @Visa pages
  • Act as an SME for various Business Departments on Data Policy related matters, focusing on Data Policy adoption across functional areas and consulting on complex matters.
  • Participate in requests and exception review process.

Business and technical skills

  • Existing knowledge or ability to understand the legislation requirements (such as GDPR, CCPA) with the help of guidance from Legal and GPO teams and properly address it in the process of Data Policy elements creation.
  • Strong written and communication skills, proven experience in hands-on creation of internal documentation, such as policies, standards, procedures, or execution guidelines.
  • Strong ability to structure and manage projects and processes with multiple stakeholders and vendors involved (PMO experience).
  • Experience in organizing training programs is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills, with a structured and analytical mindset.
  • Enthusiasm and accountability with high attention to detail and quality for all work products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual rigor
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible.
  • Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and evolving / ambiguous environment.

QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS

*8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
*MS in Data-related disciplines (e.g., applied mathematics).
*At least 5 years of experience in a financial services company or a consulting firm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
