Join the Backend Engineering team in Yahoo! Finance - help us design and build various systems that power our products.

  • Real-time Ingestion and Processing pipelines built using Apache Storm.

  • Machine Learning & Offstage analytics pipelines built using Apache Spark.

  • Data platform & Search Systems built using HBase, Apache Storm & ElasticSearch.

  • Serving systems built using Redis, Vert.x and Jetty.

Must Have:

  • Demonstrated industry experience building large scale backend data processing and/or serving systems.

  • Experience with some combination of Java, Python, golang.

  • Development experience in a Linux/Unix environment.

  • Masters in Computer Science (or a related technical field) or Bachelors in Computer Science (or a related technical field) with 5-7 years of industry experience

Good to Have:

  • Prior experience in the fintech space.

The compensation for this position ranges from $128,250.00 - $266,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
