Job Overview:

Within Network Data & Systems, this position is responsible for Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and internal network vendor contracts and relations. The Network DMS & Contract Specialist is responsible to manage the DMS vendor relationship with MBUSA and our dealer partners. This position will work directly with vendors used by Network Development (ND) and other key areas where contracts are managed in ND. It will be required to collaborate with Legal and Procurement as well as business units to ensure all requirements are met and that contracts are optimized for the benefit of MBUSA.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all DMS vendor relations for MBUSA

- Conduct and document regular assessments of each DMS vendor including MBUSA and dealer benefits, technology, costs, in order to determine the optimal number of DMS partners and most qualified

- Meet regularly with vendors and key stakeholders to ensure all requirements are being met

- Identify issues & risks, escalate as necessary and manage the resolutions agreed to, with Network, internal stakeholders, vendors, and dealer partners

- Work closely with Legal and Procurement to ensure that all contracts are agreeable and optimized for MBUSA and stakeholders with low risk

- Manage all vendor relations with Urban Science, Experian, and any other relevant 3 rd party vendors on behalf of MBUSA

- Collaborate with internal business users of 3 rd party vendor sites and services to ensure all ongoing and future business needs are being met

- Identify and prioritize outages, issues, and change requests with vendor systems.

- Lead the contract agreement and renewal process for all DMS vendors, Urban Science, Experian, and all relevant vendors as required.

- In collaboration with the business users, identify and document business cases for future changes and requests.

- Prepare all required documents, presentations, and system entries for upcoming contract negotiations, renewals, and/or terminations as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications/ Education:

- Business General: Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization

- Independent thinker with the ability to make decisions that are strategic and forward thinking

- Ability to assess the criticality of a problem and initiate corrective action in a timely manner

- Experience in contract management

- Experience in traditional Project Management

- Exceptionally good communication and collaboration skills; and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to tailor communication content to the needs of the audience

- High analytic and strategic thinking

- Independent working attitude; well-organized with attention to detail

- Have a relentless will to improve and be proactive

- Able to lead, moderate and motivate colleagues

- Excellent relationship building/partnering skills

- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills

EDUCATION

- Degree in Business Finance/Management//Science/Statistics/ Engineering/Law required

YEARS EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 5-7 years in one or more of the below - Contract management

- Finance

- Business management

- Project management

- Experience in Automotive retail is a benefit, but not required
