Save Job Job Saved The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties and works closely with the HR Manager in supporting designated facilities. This role is responsible for providing support for core human resources areas including: benefits administration, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

  • Support recruitment: create and post advertisements, screen applicant resumes, conduct phone screens with candidates as needed
  • Facilitate new employee orientation
  • Counsel management in appropriate resolution of routine employee relations issues. Investigates employee complaints, making the HR Manager and management aware of such complaints and insuring timely and equitable resolution
  • Responds to employee questions/problems regarding payroll, benefits, and other related Human Resource manners
  • Assist other HR team members with cyclical performance, talent and merit review processes
  • Prepare and analyzes site and global reports on timesheet hours, overtime, headcount, hiring, etc.
  • Provide support with organizational training efforts relative to human resources policies and practices, organizational development, and compliance
  • Schedule employment activities, such as interview schedules, drug screens, physicals, background checks, and employment tests
  • Maintain up-to-date employment records, reports and logs to ensure compliance with application regulations
  • Coordinate employee events and activities with outside agencies and community programs
  • Initiate transactions for personnel changes (hires, terms, promotions, manager, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain all exempt and non-exempt employee files for assigned facilities
  • Provide administrative support for other locations as needed
  • Ability to respond to complaints/inquiries from regulatory agencies. Qualifications
  • Minimum Experience: 0 to 2+ Years Minimum of 2 years work experience in Human Resources
  • Associates Degree required. B.S. or B.A. in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
  • US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
  • Ability to function well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand business practices and human resources management, analyze problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management and coworkers and interact respectfully with all levels of the organization
  • Must adapt easily to changing priorities, function well in a fast paced environment, and handle a high degree of confidential information
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, and proficient in Microsoft Office
