KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Risk Management Tax to join our Risk Management organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply comprehensive or specialist-level knowledge of professional standards and firm risk policies to interact with partners and engagement teams, to provide Risk Management policy guidance and to resolve complex issues and questions regarding the application of such policy in the Service Line or Center of Excellence (COE) assigned
  • Lead and/or participate in periodic compliance activities, to help ensure client engagement teams comply with firm requirements
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and significantly contribute to innovation through implementation of enhancements to RM-Tax processes, materials, and tools that create high client value, process efficiencies, and/or enhanced quality
  • Guide multiple key projects, processes, programs and initiatives, making independent decisions related to required tasks and use judgment to regularly make decisions on high risk and complex matters
  • Provide active coaching, mentoring and knowledge-sharing with junior staff to advance their career development; manage and review those team members' work product
  • Responsible for managing a mid-sized to small team of entry level individuals, through intermediate level professionals

Qualifications:

  • Minimum twelve years of recent experience in tax consulting and/or compliance, risk management within a risk organization at a public accounting firm or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from accredited college/university
  • Ability to manage multiple critical, concurrent training and communications programs, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the Risk organization and the firm
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
  • Ability to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions
  • Ensure execution of strategic initiatives for the organization; Ability to address emerging opportunities and how organization should be organized/staffed to realize them
