Position Summary: Responsible for the general quality of reinsurance contract wording for assigned accounts and the management and development of direct reports; assists Department Manager and supervisor in areas of team administration. Job Responsibilities Recruit, train, and supervise (as applicable) treaty drafters Draft, review and edit reinsurance contracts and attending documentation; review related correspondence Assist brokers, clients, and markets in resolving issues related to contract wording Participate in marketing presentations to prospective and existing clients (as applicable) Contribute to maintenance of library of clauses Monitor statutory positions, regulatory guidelines, judicial decrees, current wording issues and industry trends affecting reinsurance Organize and conduct training with team staff (as applicable). Perform other related duties as assigned Primary Education/Skills Requirements Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college. Other industry-related professional designation a plus Minimum of five years experience in reinsurance contract wording, or equivalent experience in reinsurance industry, with proven knowledge of reinsurance and insurance practices Successful completion of Aon's Reinsurance Training or equivalent reinsurance training High degree of competence in English language (i.e., spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.) Excellent leadership skills.
