Job Description

Innovation Center and Regional Solutions technology team at Visa is expanding rapidly. The team is accountable for early-stage/new products piloting (limited scale with fast iterations) and taking some of the successful pilots to commercial stages. We are a global team of disruptors, trailblazers, innovators and risk-takers who are helping drive economic growth in even the most remote parts of the world, creatively moving the industry forward, and doing meaningful work that brings financial literacy and digital commerce to millions of unbanked and underserved consumers. The team works closely with the Visa business groups in countries around the world and helping incubate, validate and roll-out new product ideas. As part of the IC-DS team, one will work closely with business development teams, partners/clients, and internal product teams and cross-leverage engineering talent internally and externally to help enable bring the ideas to life. With the rapid growth, the technology team is looking for a Sr. Manager for Strategy and Governance as the main point of contact to orchestrate the success of organization level initiatives. This role will be instrumental in achieving the team velocity, efficiency, and across multiple regional technology teams which in turn have a positive impact on the quality of relationships and motivation in our organization. This role will report to the Vice President of Technology.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include facilitating cross group collaboration on technical issues both within Regional Solutions and with other teams across the company, providing technical research on emerging trends, driving the development of a divisional technology roadmap, drive and track internal organization initiatives, and helping to author white papers and presentations.

  • Proactively drive and track internal organization initiatives from ideation to execution. Provide regular visibility to leadership on progress, action items, blockers, risks, and dependencies.

  • Perform and present market research on emerging payment trends.

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and sounding board who helps to communicate, track and oversee organizational strategy and goals.

  • Create flourishing culture of efficiency, excitement, fun and cohesion among all the regional teams and functions by connecting the dots and leveraging best practices across the regions

  • Accountable for Org level communicationsincluding bi-weekly executive reporting,newsletter, and presentations for All-hands.

  • Ability to influence outcomes from partners at all levels of the organization.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will thrive in intense, multitasking, interrupt-driven worlds, and enjoy building new products. S/he will be passionate about technology but have a strong product sense. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required, as this candidate must be able to build bridges between groups and providing leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
*10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
*12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
*Exceptional self-discipline. Able to juggle multiple projects and act proactively.
*Strong conviction to drive things to closure - high sense of ownership, low ego, can-do attitude, must be proactive and solution oriented, looking for ways to add value and assist the team
*Good skills and passion for facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
*Track record of delivering successful initiatives on-time, as-promised, with quality.
*Ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams.
*Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
*Ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize, and manage situations to satisfactory completion. Strong experience in providing exceptional customer service.
*Proven ability to establish trust with diverse set of stakeholders
*Undergrad+ in engineering field with 7+ years of experience. Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.
