Marketing Director - Fixed Income

What's the opportunity?

The Fixed Income Marketing Director will be the lead marketer for the Franklin Templeton Fixed Income.

The Marketing Director will work across the fixed income team to develop content strategy, collaborate on and support regional and global marketing campaigns, and mange marketing materials for the SIM. This role will also assist in a wide variety of other activities including commercial positioning, content development, and product management.

Marketing efforts will be tailored to drive business with targeted groups of both internal and external stakeholders, including both retail and institutional investors. The Marketing Director will also collaborate to deepen relationships with internal stakeholders to broaden Franklin Templeton Fixed Income team product distribution and distribute materials on firms' approved lists.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Fixed Income Marketing Director?
  • Lead the marketing function for the fixed income investment platform
  • Build strong working partnerships with colleagues on the investment teams, marketing, sales, creative, editorial, compliance, and compliance to develop and drive Franklin Templeton Fixed Income team's marketing effectiveness internally and externally

  • Create powerful narratives and distill the complex into simple, concise messages, enhancing product materials to evolve product value proposition and drive greater engagement

  • Support the monthly and quarterly marketing material updates to ensure product positioning remains appropriate and consistent across all related materials

  • Connect the broader global and regional marketing initiatives with Franklin Templeton Fixed Income team's relevant investment capabilities and thought leadership, helping position product and messaging

  • Measure, analyze, and report on the success of Franklin Templeton Fixed Income team to identify opportunity to continuously improve outcomes relative to goals

  • Partner with Franklin Templeton Fixed Income team's business leaders to align marketing efforts to strategic business objectives and milestones, meeting regularly with key stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and measure success

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • 8-12 years of marketing and investment management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate complex ideas into simple, concise messaging

  • Strong PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office software skills

  • Confident self-starter who is willing to take ownership of initiatives from strategy to execution with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Collaborate with members of the Franklin Templeton Fixed Income team to develop content for thought leadership and sales collateral

  • Develop product set assessments, mapping existing products to stages of the product lifecycle, to aid in identification of gaps and establishment of product development priorities.
