Job Description

The Visa Global Loyalty and Benefits team is at the cutting edge of delivering solutions that drive relevancy and cardholder engagement.

The Digital Benefit Platform is Visa's state-of-the-art product benefit infrastructure designed to give issuers access to more benefits options and a higher degree of flexibility and choice. To operationalize this vision, Visa offers it's issuers an integrated benefit platform consisting of Benefit Management, Benefit Delivery and Benefit awareness services, all these are available in market today and offers the following-

  • Enables banks to manage all their card products benefits from a centralized, network agnostic system.
  • Enables banks to drive top of wallet status by enabling/unlocking the benefits based on cardholders spend behavior.
  • Increases customers engagement by instant and frictionless delivery of the benefits and recognizing them for their loyalty.
  • Enables real time communication of the benefits information to key end endpoints via state of art API's.
  • Provide easy access to wide range of niche benefits from the top-of-the-line merchants.

The Director will be responsible for the product technology roadmap, strategy, structure and ongoing technical product management of new and existing product components for Visa's loyalty suite. This person will be responsible for working with the benefit product owners across all the regions and coordinating enhancements on our benefits platform, including merging legacy functionality into a modern technology stack and creating a holistic user experience for a client and/or an internal Visa user.

This person should have material experience in scaling products via Agile methodologies. This leader will work with clients and internal experts to identify and prioritize products to develop, manage the build (not code), execute the launch and drive product commercialization to target levels of adoption and utilization.

A strong candidate will have a solid experience with product/program management, release management, cross-functional team leadership, superb communication skills, business analysis, excellent understanding of product strategy frameworks and a drive to ideate. We are looking for a pro-active product leader who can deliver on a product vision by questioning the status quo.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the platform level strategy with a long-term and short-term product goal and vision.
  • Understandthe varying needs of client across the regions, define the roadmap for the global capabilities we should build, and actively sell those enhancement to our partners in all regions.
  • Co-ordinate with different regional team partners for the active product rollout and building long term pipeline for the clients and product development.
  • Mentor the junior product managers.
  • Lead and execute projects to design,scope, develop, and implement new product features and capabilities, in conjunction with the Visa technology team. Lead the daily scrum and other agile ceremonies.
  • Lead the market rollout of new features andcapabilities, with the support of Product Delivery and Regional Solutions teams.
  • Ownand develop VDBP artifacts, plans, collateral, and communications that deliver against the product strategy and help our client-facing teams sell our products individually or as part of a solution. Be responsible for representing
    VDBP to internal and external audiences.
  • Interactextremely closely with regional Credit and Benefits teams to determine the right architecture and configuration of VDBP. Build business cases for the investments that will drive revenues growth. Define how capabilities should integrate with each other, how they could fit together into solutions, and how service level targets and KPIs are being met and improved.
  • Act as the Product platform lead and subject matter expert in rollout of new platform capabilities and features with issuing clients, merchants,and across the Visa organization globally.
  • Develop product metrics, manage a global client pipeline, and understand how trends in consumer spending will influence the roadmap for VDBP.
  • Lead collaboration with internal Visa teams e.g., regional teams, technology, client services, other Visa product teams, risk, and other applicable groups) to define and execute a cohesive strategy related to a specific product or feature.
  • Provide post-launch support to VDBP benefit providers, fintech developers, and issuing partners globally.
  • Help partners on how ongoing enhancements of VDBP benefit their business.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
* 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
* 8+ years successful post college product or functional management experience, 6 years post Masters/MBA degree.
* Leading cross functional teams.
* People management skill (direct/indirect) preferred.
* Lead complex projects and processes with multiple stakeholders.
* Drive projects in collaboration with product owners and leaders of all levels.
* Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively.
* Develop product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product design documents (concept document, business case, product requirements).
* Cultivate net new and unique insights from a combination of expertise in product area, internal feedback, external feedback and market research to provide perspective to the team and product management leaders to inform insights and decisions.
* Individual works autonomously with ongoing supervision from manager and leadership.
* Advocate for the customer.
* Demonstrate customer empathy.
* Translate needs into product goals and features.
* Deep focus on data.
* Set the vision, strategy, defines success (e.g., OKRs), makes decisions around.
* Prioritization for releases and roadmap for next 3-5 years.
