Job Overview

This position's focus is to develop and manage market research projects for all MBUSA passenger car and connected services, and provide actionable insights to Product Management team and other MBUSA business units to make strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

- Engage internal Product Management stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify, plan and execute consumer & product research projects to make strategic business decisions, and share results with greater organization including executive management and headquarters

- Research, analyze and proactively share the latest consumer insights and trends relevant to MBUSA. Provide recommendations for future product and marketing strategy based on consumer point of views from syndicated research and highly complex data

- Manage the New Vehicle Experience Study (NVES) highlighting customer demographics and purchase/rejection reasons. Act as the subject expert to analyze shifts in demographic and purchase intentions and share findings and recommendations with key MBUSA internal stakeholders.

- Act as the liaison between MBUSA and Headquarter's market research team to support developing and conducting consumer & product research projects, including launch feedback, early buyer & rejecter study, real life study, car clinic, and others per request

- Design, develop, manage and lead the Conquest/Defection studies and serve as the main contact with the vendors using Experian. Identify trends, organize data and develop comparative analyses that show MB's position vs. competition. Communicate actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and Executive Management to support effective decision making.

- Act as MBUSA's primary contact and subject matter expert for JD Power's product-related syndicated studies and analyze complex data to determine performance gaps and identify trends. Translate business needs in the development of the studies to ensure deliverables align with requirements. Develop executive summary briefs as necessary.

- Support with ad hoc studies, special projects, presentation, reports and analyses when the need arises

- Manage quarterly US Product Board meeting, including agenda, content, and meeting minutes preparation, and follow-up on action items.

- Manage monthly PM Ops & Strategy meeting, including agenda, content, and meeting minutes preparation, and follow-up on action items.

- Manage vendors within approved annual budget to achieve strategic and operational goals

Qualifications

Qualifications/ Education

- Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in: Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Statistics

- Must have 5-7 years of experience in relevant field(s)
