General Fund Audit Readiness Analyst

St. Michael's has an immediate opening for a General Fund Audit Readiness Analyst. The selected candidate will possess auditing, audit remediation, and other relevant financial and accounting experience as a civil servant, service member, or defense contractor. Candidates must have a firm understanding of DoD accounting and audit practices; must have knowledge of GAAP, FASAB, GAGAS, OMB Circular A-123, GAO Green Book, and other authoritative guidance governing internal controls in the Federal Government. Knowledge of DoD and Army Organizational Structures is a plus. Successful candidates must be mission-focused, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, be able to track all project deadlines and follow-up on their timely completion. Location: Fort Bragg, NC

Active Clearance required: Secret

Required:

  • Knowledge of ERP Systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A).
  • Minimum 6 years of federal financial management and 3 years of federal accounting experience.
  • Experience in performing financial statement audits and providing audit readiness services within the Department, the Federal Government, or similar enterprise organizations.
  • Familiar with pertinent Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and Federal financial management system requirements.
  • Familiar with DoD policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management.

Desired:

  • Ability to analyze detailed and complex GFEBS transactions for a myriad of business process (Contract Pay, Reimbursable Work Order (RWO), Government Purchase Card (GPC), Temporary Duty (TDY), Fuel, Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Cost Transfers and Miscellaneous Pay).
  • Ability to analyze detailed and complex GCSS-Army transactions for a myriad of business process (Supply, Supply Turn-ins, Cost Transfers, etc.).
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Army, especially in a finance/accounting capacity.

Duties Include:

  • Knowledge and ability to successfully use Army ERP systems such as GFEBS and GCSS-A
  • Performing Federal Financial Statement Audits
  • Data analytics
  • Testing the design and effectiveness of Internal Controls
  • Reading/analyzing financial policies

Education:

Master's Degree or professional certification in one of the following:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
