Technical Recruiting Manager

St. Michael's Inc., an employee-owned company, is currently seeking a Technical Recruiting Manager to manage company-wide recruiting efforts. This position will lead an existing team of Recruiters to implement successful recruitment strategies and plans that result in the proper staffing at St. Michael's Inc. The Technical Recruiting Manager should bring a history of demonstrated success in recruiting for federal government contract positions, with emphasis in the Department of Defense. Responsibilities include management and oversight of St. Michael's recruiting capabilities, processes, and results, providing direction to existing Recruiters in using various recruiting channels to source candidates for cleared federal government contract positions, improving the recruitment process, and building talent pipelines for future hiring needs. The ideal candidate will have solid networking skills, know how to source on all social media channels, and enjoy learning about different roles within St. Michael's. This position will proactively identify our hiring needs and help us fill our vacancies with qualified employees within contractually required timeframes.

Location: Woodbridge, VA or Tampa, FL

Experience: Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5+ years of experience in recruiting with at least 2 years of specialized experience in technical recruiting

Education: A Bachelor's degree in any field; experience in lieu of education will be considered

Requirements:

  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple candidates, searches, contracts, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Results-oriented with goals and relevant metrics being presented to senior leadership on a bi-monthly basis
  • Complete understanding of recruitment life cycle with proven track record filling roles in the following areas: Defense, Military, Intelligence Community, Cleared personnel, Consulting, Finance, Management.
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g., recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and able to source and identify high-caliber talent in an extremely competitive job market
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player, with the ability to champion the recruiting process

Duties Include:

  • Continually analyze staffing needs to include hard-to-fill positions to proactively address areas of risk and create recruitment plans and strategies to avoid long term vacancies
  • Manage St. Michael's recruiting capabilities, processes, and results, providing direction to Recruiters to implement successful techniques to source candidates for federal government contract positions
  • Understand the intricacies of St. Michael's functional business areas by building and maintaining relationships with hiring managers, recruiters, and HR Director
  • Leverage Social Networking for recruiting cleared talent and utilize social sites to hire passive and active candidates
  • Oversee and manage St. Michael's internal ATS verifying applicants are dispositioned according to OFCCP guidelines; internal candidates are dispositioned and contacted appropriately, and interview reports are completed accurately
  • Manage job posting and advertisement processes
