The Alternatives Product Marketing Manager for U.S. strategies will act as the central marketing authority for those relevant strategies and therefore must have a strong understanding of the markets relating to their respective strategies. They must be perceived as a credible source of investment related information pertaining to their covered strategies and must have a thorough understanding of all content available and or necessary to be developed in support of assisting U.S. Sales in selling and in promoting the respective strategies.

The Product Marketing Manager will be a member of the Investment Marketing group for U.S. Distribution's Marketing organization and will primarily interact with Franklin Templeton's U.S. Sales and product specialist organizations, the relevant Specialized Investment Managers' marketing and product specialist teams, and colleagues within the respective U.S. Marketing's Client Marketing and Integrated Marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop messaging that positions strategies for solving the needs of U.S. clients
  • Develop product collateral in collaboration with Specialized Investment Managers' marketers, U.S. Product, U.S. Sales and U.S. Sales Training supporting all relevant product wrappers sold through Franklin Templeton's U.S. Distribution organization
  • Collaborate with Central Marketing Operations to lead development of new U.S. advisor pitchbooks and fact cards for all relevant product wrappers
  • Collaborates with U.S. Sales, Sales Training, and Client Marketing to frame client campaigns content, and serves as the subject matter expert with Integrated Marketing on execution
  • Ensure content for relevant strategies is consistent with core product messaging
  • Obtain intimate knowledge of the investment philosophy and process of each strategy supported - including detailed understanding of current investment themes within the portfolio, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes of the strategy, past and current positioning of the portfolio, near-term outlook for the strategy and performance attribution in order to develop clear, consistent and pertinent collateral supporting solutions for challenges of our U.S. clients
  • Collaborate with other U.S. Marketing team members and plays a key role in creating and reviewing relevant product collateral and reviewing landing pages, social media and emails concerning strategies
  • Liaise with Central Marketing Operations and other data teams to ensure data and product collateral regarding a given product are accurate and appropriate.
  • Proofreadand conduct quality assurance of electronic and print materials.
  • Execute other projects and special marketing assignments, as necessary.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in the development of multi-faceted, comprehensive product strategy or marketing campaigns in asset management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, CFA and/or MBA desirable
  • 5+ years in asset management, preferably in product specialist or product marketing roles
  • Series 6 or 7 licensed, if not, must achieve within 1 year of employment
