Director, Network Practice Operations

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Practice Operations to join our Advisory organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership and guide coordinated tactical action plans of the infrastructure/operational functions supporting assigned practice, based on changing business needs, objectives and strategies; partner with national practice leadership to develop and monitor go to market strategy for national practice
  • Develop communication plans facilitating change management for national practice operations initiatives; identify and/or drive practice-wide, national practice wide and national strategic initiatives or projects; identify national practice operational best practices and directs the implementation and execution of such on a national practice wide basis
  • Provide strategic insights on the strategic and financial state of the business which includes understanding and summarizing monthly progress of our FY Plans (both strategic and fiscal) through coordination with and input from core operations functions and key business leaders, communicating our strategy (service group/line/network) and market developments and their impact to the Line/Network as well as communicating key investments, progress on investments and their impact to the Line/Network
  • Facilitate the execution of the business through coordination with core operations functions (Finance & Accounting, Resource Management, Human Resources and People Strategy, Sales/Go-to-Market)
  • Lead the development and execution of Financial, Strategic, and Communication Plans with a focus on leveraging the appropriate channels; serve as facilitator and escalation point for discussion of key business areas for all employees within the Service Line or Network
  • Manage, administrate and/or facilitate special projects or initiatives required for the strategic or fiscal success of the Line/Network at the discretion of Line/Network and Consulting Operations leads

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of recent experience in one or more business related areas including Finance, Human Resources, Resource Management, Marketing or general business operations, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance and strategic advice to executive level management across all practice operational areas; prior experience as a direct supervisor for a staff consisting of different professional levels, including management
  • Past experience reading and analyzing Operating Statements (P&L)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook; basic knowledge or experience with Microsoft Access, Customer Relationship Databases and Resource Management/scheduling tools
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and negotiating skills required
