KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Data Analysis and Information Solutions to join our Data Strategy & Operations organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to planning and lead execution of establishing a roadmap and vision for Data Analysis and Information Solutions, covering Data Supply assets such as Azure Data Lake and Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Develop the vision around design and management of data as it pertains to the business strategy and establish processes for governing the identification, collection and use of corporate metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity
  • Partner with Data Information architects and engineers to architect and deliver the solutions that fulfill the business information needs and align with the information vision and strategy
  • Optimize performance, quality and cost of the delivery function by defining and implementing proper resourcing, offshoring scope and utilization, increasing automation and process efficiency
  • Interact regularly with delivery partners and/or department leaders; Proactively initiate ideas to improve client service for a specific work product within a department; contribute to department or group objectives, strategy and priorities; set tactical plan for execution of strategic objectives
  • Become a trusted advisor to clients and others within the firm to achieve the required goals and objectives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of in-depth experience of designing and implementing information or data solutions, as well as with innovation and ideation methods, such as design thinking; and hands-on experience implementing data and analytics management programs is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
  • Understanding of business domain, data/content and process, as well as understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models and metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources
  • Familiarity with data science concepts, as well as MDM, business intelligence and data lake and warehouse design and implementation techniques, as well as with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments; understanding of a variety of data access and analytic approaches (microservices and event-based architectures); Experience as a data analyst is preferred, as well as specific experience with data and business information modeling is preferred
  • Ability to manage change and effectively communicate to teams; advanced knowledge of the broader scope that frames the essential technical area of work with ability to use this knowledge to create incremental value and technical strategy
