Overview

The Permit Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Starts Process at the division office. This includes developing panels, collecting paperwork, submitting for approvals and permits, and entering data into several JD Edwards screens. This position requires a high level of organization and ability to manage the critical tasks related to starting a home in Lennar's system.

Responsibilities

  • Order plats, "as builts", address plats for Construction & Sales
  • Research and setup MUD districts/City requirements for Water Taps & Permits
  • Submit for and track Developer and/or HOA Approval
  • Order all checks for Permits, Water taps, and impact fees
  • Submit for all water taps, electrical meters, etc. as needed per homesite
  • Maintain Start Reports for respective communities/jurisdictions
  • Track all lot purchases on Starts reports
  • Input the necessary completion dates into JD Edwards once the home starts in the field
  • Enter/Remove the Options in the JD Edwards Lot Checklist Option Selection screen
  • Process new home starts through the permitting process
  • Process check requests to government agency and for permits
  • Interface with various municipalities and jurisdictions in obtaining permits
  • Assist in processing invoices for Engineering
  • Review requested inspection\re-inspection fees and pay as necessary
  • Periodically hand deliver permit applications and start packages
  • Assemble start packages for construction managers
  • Work with construction managers to ensure complete and accurate starts

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience in related job
  • Must be very efficient and detailed oriented
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Proficient with computer programs and a working knowledge of new technology such as iPads
  • College degree or related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong work ethic, integrity and loyalty
  • Team player with the ability to work well under pressure
