The RoleAspen Technology, industry leader in Asset Optimization software solutions in the Process Industries is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual as Director of Product Management focusing on the Next Generation Portfolio-wide Sustainability Solutions reporting to the VP, Joint Solution Development. The Next Generation Sustainability Solutions leverage the strength of AspenTech's market leading Asset Optimization solutions including the latest Industrial AI and Enterprise Visualization and Workflow capabilities to transform the sustainability decision making to simultaneously address the dual challenge of meeting sustainability and profitability goals. This role will provide product management leadership setting strategic direction for the Next Generation Sustainability Solutions fostering cross-functional innovation to accelerate customer value in sustainability and business growth. In addition, the role will include extensive co-innovation and collaboration with AspenTech key customers and partners. The Director will contribute to the overall technical and commercial strategy for the AspenTech Asset Optimization Solution and Self-Optimizing Plants. The AspenTech Asset Optimization Solution provides market leading capabilities to optimize the performance of process industry assets across the CAPEX and OPEX cycles to simultaneously address profitability and sustainability goals. Your Impact Lead product strategy, direction, and cross-functional execution for the Next Generation Sustainability Solutions Lead product and solution strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation Responsible for product market analysis, business plan, growth projections and financial performance of products Partner with R&D teams and product management teams to define product requirements and end user scenarios Partner with Marketing and Sales on a worldwide basis Translate feedback from the customers and partners into software requirements and product strategy to achieve rapid adoption of the products Co-innovation and collaboration with AspenTech partners and customers to enhance the solution Lead early adopter engagements with customer Leaders Club and customer strategic advisory groups through innovation programs Evangelize solutions within and outside the company as part of AspenTech sustainability initiatives Drive adoption and usage of solutions and for accelerating customer value Key competencies required: Successful track record of delivering sustainability and or operational excellence solutions to the process industries Strong background in delivering model-based decision support for sustainability and profitability improvements Good understanding of the end user needs in sustainability, plant operations, and strategic decision making Background in the use of process modeling and or production planning and optimization in process industries will be an advantage. Track record in delivering solutions that meet regulatory requirement will be added advantage. Excellent communication skills to articulate the product message Proven track record of driving new technology adoption Strong leadership with cross-functional collaboration skills with proven track record in leading successful project, product or business initiatives leading to business growth What You'll Need 10+ years of experience developing or deploying interactive and collaborative solutions to address needs in sustainability and plant operations within the Energy and/or Chemicals industries 5+ years of process industry experience in plant engineering or operations functions 5+ years of experience in leading multiple corporate initiatives that have introduced new technology solutions Prior experience in Product Management is preferred Minimum B.S. degree in engineering or science, advanced degree in management is a plus
